Gloria McIntosh, a mom of six from Ohio, was exhausted after a busy day when she heard her 18-month-old son Greyson wake up at 3 a.m. Hoping he might go back to sleep on his own, she checked on him using a baby monitor. What she saw made her heart swell!
Her 10-year-old son Mason had gone into Greyson’s room without being asked to comfort his little brother. Mason absolutely adores Greyson, so he spent the next 30 minutes soothing and tending to the baby to help him get back to sleep.
“I eventually came and got the baby, and asked my son why he didn’t just come get me,”Gloria explained. “He said he wanted me to get some rest because I did a lot that day.â€
How precious is that? His mom added, “While parenting is not his responsibility, just the fact that he understood that he is his brother’s keeper, and considered my long days as a mom, is much appreciated.”
How many fourth-graders would stumble out of bed in the middle of the night to help their parents? Strong work, Mason! Check out this sweet moment of brotherly love in the video below, and don’t forget to share this story.
